I played this game without problems for years now, recently I installed it again and was disappointed by the Larian launcher, so much for DRM free.

I'm playing on a laptop with updated drivers and Win11, the only thing that really changed from my former playthrough was "upgrading" from Win 10 to 11, and of course the new launcher thingy.

The game is crashing when I try to launch it, it starts in some weird windowed mode, goes black and crashes.
I tried re-installing the game, same thing.

Is anybody else having this problem, and is there a way to fix it?
Can I downgrade the game down to one of the earlier patches so I skip the whole launcher thingy entirely?

Same. I played 50 hours on the same PC 4 years ago, but now when I try to play it loads to the main menu and selecting any option causes a complete crash. I can only guess it is the new Larian launcher thing. Very disappointing.

Same here. I use Win 10 and the offline files - not the Galaxy installation. The game goes to the loading screen and then crashes without an error message.

I tried all the advices in the here (except the physx because I don't want to mess with drivers just for this one game), and it still doesn't work.

Update: OK, never mind. I've uninstalled and reinstalled physx and now everything works.
