Using spirit vision there are many spirits I can't talk to. When I hover over them I get no speech bubble. Any ideas?

There's a bug in the game that happens when you talk to the couple near the Magister's Building in Driftwood. It makes you unable to talk to a bunch of (in some cases maybe all of?) things; people, animals, and spirits. Any chance you're having trouble talking to the living as well? If so, that could be it.
Some spirits just don't have anything to say; they're just there to make the game world look a little more full, or to add flavor by walking around and perhaps emoting simple things. It could be that you're trying to talk to spirits that have nothing to say.
