Cloud sync was working until today, but now I'm getting an error message each time saying it won't sync. Anyone else having this issue?

Yup , same here.
Started last night however as I was trying to quit to go to bed and it wouldn't sync.
That was around 10 hours ago I think.
same problem...
Same here
I've just installed the program. Can play okay, but the desktop icon is just a white square and the cloud sync is not working either. GOG galaxy does not recognise the version of the game I'm playing, which is strange as I just installed it via GOG galaxy.
Are you capable to manually copy the saves at least?
Because I didn't find them.

I noticed the same thing on my profile page as I was running the game. It was saying I was playing an "unreleased game".

Sounds related to the cloud sync problem. I hope they clear this up.
Same problem for me here.

Not sure if it's a GOG Galaxy 2.0 issue or not
Sync not wokring here either [GOG Galaxy 1.2 client].
Does Galaxy have a size limit for cloud saves? I would expect one, like on Steam. After a while I began to see this problem too, so I checked my save folder and saw it was around 150 MB, and it's now over 200 MB. I wouldn't be surprised if Galaxy only stored up to 100-150 MB or something. I just disabled cloud syncing for Disco Elysium since it only slows the startup process for the game now.

Hmm, interesting. Where are the saves located?

C:\Users\"Username"\AppData\LocalLow\ZAUM Studio\Disco Elysium\SaveGames. Keep in mind that AppData is by default a hidden folder.
I found a few otherwise unrelated posts where it is claimed that GoG's cloud sync has a total 1 GB limit, see

https://www.reddit.com/r/gog/comments/6faog1/gog_galaxy_sync_not_working/

and

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_cloud_sync_full_no_options_to_fix.

I guess it would be 1 GB overall, not 1 GB for each game, but I can't be sure.
Same problem here, anyone found a fix for this ?

It's a shame because it's a great game and I refund my steam version hoping that using gog one will get some extra buck for game developers and since both platform have "cloud saves" it will not matter that much to me....

That was one of those bad suprises, that's for sure.

I opted for GOG for the same reason, but this issue and the lack of achievements on here is making me somewhat regret this decision. Hopefully it'll get sorted out. I'll be filing a ticket with support soon.
