I got the task to listen to the doorgunner megamix tape and I went and bought a boom box and listened to it but I can't progress the task. I even reloaded to see if it would happen again and it did. Has anyone run into and solved this issue?

What exactly do you mean by "I can't progress the task"? If memory serves, after listening to it you should go back to the oranjese disco dancer and talk about what you heard.

Barzus: What exactly do you mean by "I can't progress the task"? If memory serves, after listening to it you should go back to the oranjese disco dancer and talk about what you heard.
The objective doesn't update and I can't talk to her about it. I can talk about it to the guy who gave me the tape but that does nothing.

Do you have Kim with you? I listened to the tape without him the first time as he went to deliver the body to the morgue and it did nothing to me either. If you listen to it with him he will tell you some things about the tape that you can discuss with the girl, this will progress the quest
