Has anyone tried getting a multiplayer match for Sacred Lands (the first game) running?

yep i got it, I mostly game during the weekends so I might be on then.

I'm in - played this game in 1999 (;
what i remember was that the MP is not balanced at all - specially the tier3/4 summons that do AoE attacks and the spells that simply kill your whole maxed party );

AI pulls this on you in the sagas, sometimes, too. You're aware that the "ward against X" spells also grant immunity to X-based overland spells for that turn?

true that, but humans are meaner than AIs ); and wards were accessible to the Empire race if i remember. Anyway - the 'Inferno' race had the invisibility spell which rocked!
Most games we tried to have ended in heated disputes of how un-balanced those spells/summons were and than switching to HoMM3 (;
