The disc version of D2 came with a folder with level 10 campaign heroes so new players could jump right into the GOTL/SOTD campaigns (the game won't let you use characters from custom scenarios).
Any chance GOG could add these Hero files as extra downloads? Or on the off chance that they're already included, could someone point me to them?

Hi. Can you not export a caracter from the non-10th-level campaigns ? The buttom is located next to the save/load buttoms. I can not remeber what version, but I remember I have started several of these 10th-level campaigns using a 1st level hero. If you are good, you can play with this and fast reach high levels, or you can use cheats to make him a 10'th level hero.

After 10 years GOG add them. Still missing Impire single-player scenario and RotE Gold content (from Gold upgrade installer from another forum thread)
In GOG Galaxy it available only for PL localization. But who used it anyway?
