just wondering if any one else has had a problem with the game flickering between itself and a black screen, it goes form one to the oter really quickly almost constantly, so if anyone has any ideas as to why.

Same problem here. I've tried all the solutions listed on the website, no dice so far.

I figured out a solution. I have a amd graphics card, and I had to uninstall the catalyst control center, and then reinstall it, and that let me configure my options so that the games went full screen, so if you have amd that's what I recommend, otherwise try updating your graphics driver.

Under Windows 8.1 and AMD graphic card upper solution works fine - just right click on "Disciples Gold" icon and set compatibility option to use 640x480 pxs.
