Where do I find save game files for Disciples II: Dark Prophecy GOG Gold edition. I see them from inside a game, but cannot find folder.
-Save game folder is empty, cannot track the save files, though they are not deleted, they are workiing just fine.
- Tried every possible program data/appdata/documents folder.
-tried to search .sg in windows search, I get nothing, just some already existing .sg files inside exports folder in root dir(as if the saved games have different extension, but I cannot see the path from inside the game)
-There are no save files, though I find them in game and are completely functioning(not deleted or corrupted, just not existing anywhere inside windows folders)

*I have tried running disciples as admin, and the saves dont exist inside the game either. I can see them just when I dont run as administrator

Please help, i cannot reinstall my system. I dont want to lose those saved games

I guess it depends on operating system. For me on Windows 7 it's in VirtualStore. Easiest way to get there is press "compatibility files" in file explorer while in game directory (or navigate manually "Drive Letter:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Game Directory").

Running the game as Admin or as normal user results in save files being written to different locations. You should be able to save in both cases but you will only see one "subset" depending on the mode.
You are a GENIUS. I pressed compatibility files and there they are suddenly. In same folder previosly being empty.

Why is this the case. What is that compatibility file option doing? I'd like to know more about that for the future issues ? :D
