Actually I´m playing disciples 1 and enjoying it very much.

What´s the difference between 1 and 2. Couldn´t figure it out clearly.

- more unit upgrades / unit types
- you can fix a unit type (for example if you fix the unit type for a lich it will stay a lich when leveling up and won't become an arch lich)
- elves as a playable race (at least in the gold version)
- you can save your heroes and play them in other quests
- the graphics are pretty impressive
- the scenario editor has been improved

can't think of anything else now... it's been a while since i last played it.
Thank you Smogg,

that was exactly the information I needed to buy the second one too.

Just to add what Smogg wrote:

-more character weapon upgrades and slots
-tougher AI
-ambient sound is not something to be ignored
-controllable allies (I just played an Empire campaign where I encountered Elf allies and a kraken and I was able to take control of them and use them as I pleased including occupying castles)

A game that is a clear improvement on the original without taking away anything that I really liked from the first.
Is there any fanpage/community out there?

Couldn´t find much about that.

The concept of disciples is a great one. You really have to think about what to do next or where to invest your resources.

But more character/weappon upgrades are welcome.(Good AI too, hehe)

After finishing my campaign I will go to the second one.

These are the best pages I've found. They seem to be dormant but you can download custom quests & sagas from them at least.

There's also this one that seems to have some good stuff, if you understand Russian:

Do you have any idea how much of a freaking miracle that statement is!!!!!!!!!!!????

And just like the day mankind discovered fire, the next great leap of intelligence was the discovery that when you make a later version of a game, don't actually remove the things people liked about the original! Hallelujah, (fireworks and celebrations, masses of crowds dancing in the streets)
