Every time I quit the game via the in-game buttons (either from the main menu or the in-scenario one) the game just freezes indefinitely and I have to kill it through Windows.

I realize this is an old game and I don't mind the occasional random stability issues and crashed when ending my turn, when the AI casts spells or whenever, and obviously this isn't a huge issue since at that point I want to exit the game anyway and it doesn't (so far) affect the save game... but it's odd that it happens every time for such a basic feature as quitting the game, so wondering if anyone else has seen this or has a solution to make exiting the game less of a pain.
