Can't gog add Rebirth to this? Or is it allowed by Capcom? Not so far. It may have commercial data for other versions of the game.

you will have to add it yourself sadly.
They cannot, Rebirth is a fan project, and to bundle it with a game that you need to pay money for would require an agreement between the Rebirth's creators, everyone who contributed to it, GOG, Capcom, and possibly additional work by both Rebirth's team and GOG to make it work with this version.

It should be noted that similar has happened with Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines with GOG bundling the unofficial patch series.

But as we've seen in regards to Resident Evil, its likely up to GOG to patch these games into a state that exceeds the Rebirth series.

They could have just asked me, as I'm used to this kind of agreements since I'm an actual developer who works on remasters for two studios. Nobody came forward or even tried to ask, so it's up to fans to put the pieces together. Pity, life goes on, etc. Carry on, it's not a big deal.

Have an idea that people could use Reshade to help upscaling. The gog version has fixes from the original PC version and includes Japanese and American English versions. might try downscaling if possible, will try monitor/graphics 480p with 4:3 aspect ratio or 240p if needed. Got it to run at

It has a DirectX Wrapper included and even integer scaling support. Look in game directory. Nice.
dxcfg.ini looks 1 to 1 in fullscreen 240p upscaled, 30 hz. can probably do 60 or others. From pcgamingwiki original PC version capped at 31 fps.
Dino crisis 2 only.
My video settings for 240p fullscreen with integer scaling [tentative]
[dxcfg]
display=320x240@31
presentation=fullscreen
aspect=enabled
scaling=integer
vsync=application
gamma=1.0
anisotropic=disabled
antialiasing=disabled

Here is the story from the GOG Vault on youtube.

Note: Dino Crisis 1 and 2 are rated M for mature audiences
