I bought it and returned it. Why? The graphics are horrable. and cannot b adjusted. If this is the best they can do, Forget it. This applies to both games in the Dino remake.

They aren't remakes, though.
They are not even remasters... They look exactly like they used to look back in the day. Though to be fair, on a CRT they do look better than on a flatscreen monitor.
Wow.

This is GOG. Good Old Games. I think the point is to preserve games in their original form, to be enjoyed on modern systems. The site is full of these games containing "horrable" graphics. Which is the entire point!

They really don't. The characters and dinosaurs didn't EVER look this sharp originally. It looks pretty good by comparison. God knows what you lot were expecting.

What exactly did you think you were buying?
I bought them, and i'm glad I did. They work perfectly out of the box and look even sharper than the original PSX versions I played on my childhood. Dunno where you read that these releases were remakes (there weren't any mention of that on the release thread or store page), because they arent, they are rereleases of the old PC ports, made compatible with current PCs.

So all I can say now is...

BUY THEM!

That's what our brain believes, actually they improved the look, to make it as crisp on 4k screens as it was on the old low-res monitors back then.
Just install one of the copies you find online and compare. You'll be surprised! :)

Definitely worth a buy!
Spend all the money you want for this pile of byte junk. The trailer they run must have been an upgrade from the actual game that one receive.

Your call but I choose to support this rerelease to show Capcom we're interested in a remaster/remake.
What were you expecting, exactly?
These are PC ports of games from the PS1.

Yeah the title of this thread may as well be 'I don't understand what GOG is!'

Very pleased with my purchases.
Just for the record... I'm NOT complaining of the graphics like OG is haha. But CRTs and LED/LCDs work fundamentally different and yes, old graphics looked better on CRTs. There's lots of comparisons in youtube for instance. The way the CRTs interlace the different pixels makes the images softer and "fake" a higher resolution. I don't really play old games without a simple CRT filter (or CRT monitor) because I don't like how "squary" they look, but with a simple filter they lie to my brain and I'm happy guy. Is like comparing an old PS1 game on an old CRT TV and one running on a PS3 on a LED TV... is not the "emulator", is the actual TV making the difference in how different they look.

But yes, in general I like how this game looks. PS1 graphics FTW.
