This looks like what you normally see when you haven't explored a cave fully. It may only look weird because that particular cave is part of a cutscene and not actually explored by one of your people.
Do you have this at any other points in caves?

You can see in this new Image that its not a problem with unexplored area.
Here is another cutscene which have the same problem.
Its a graphic bug which appears in cutscenes.
