I've been playing for a few weeks now. logging in everyday and playing for a few hours. I check to join games pretty frequently but there is never anyone playing. I seen 1 person, but I couldn't join because their latency was to high. I know this is a very old game. but it would be nice to just play it with someone 1 time.

very few people play diablo these days. even i do not play it most of the time. i know that it is not the answer you seek but, it is the truth.

DevilutionX supports playing via ZeroTier which usually have a hand fully of players online (there are 4 as I write), it's not a lot but usually more then on the old servers.

Once you select ZeroTier from the multiplayer any public games will be shown below the "create game" option.

Blizzard messup with servers few time each time it long for month.
This is too old game.

This is game better played with online-friends. It is co-op multiplayer, not a random pew-pew cs-dota-trash. Same for TBS strategy games. You never find much players online.

Also, alternatively to Bnet, use GameRanger to play online. No game modding\downloading required.

no modding/downloading required except downloading & installing gameranger and then still having nobody to play with because nobody uses that thing xD

I am starting chars with friends, you can join us. Check my post I explain it all and how to set diablo classic to play on bnet with us.

Think most of people are playing on DevilutionX nowadays because all it takes is 1 click to play online. Bnet is basically dead. Why would anyone play there? ;)

maybe becasue there are people who enjoys the real diablo 1 game, as it was in 1995.
And also maybe there is like 200+ bugs reported in the git of devolution and many changes arent diablo style at all.

Issues are not bugs. Most of them are shared with the original. All the changes are optional so if you don't like them there is no need to use them.

No. This is such remakes big problem. It rewrited, not improved.

Alain243 already find people to play, so... what he want here? OP want to find more, and in such case suggestion DevilutionX is logically right, as one and probably best way to find someone online.
