Hello everyone, there are two thing that have been on my mind for a while.

1. According to all manuals I have read a monk should be able to hit target three enemies at the same time when fighting with a staff, I failed to notice that. The only instance I spot two enemies being hit at the same time was when I played as a bard and even that was not something that would happen all the time.

2. How does the experience split work? I am playing with my two friends, but we found our warrior is falling behind as rogue and mage simply get more kills, it makes it a little bit unsatisfying to play as a tank when the exp reward is low but contribution to the team is great. Same situation when a mage is playing as a healer.
I found this patch/expansion/mode made by Rafal Kowalski but I don't know if it works or how to implement it.


I am using DevilutionX and I really wanted to thank for that mode, it is making this game better and refreshing, I know for sure that I am not touching Diablo 4 anytime soon, all those great modes for Diablo 1 are the right way to go, thank you very much.

to get xp from a monster kill you have to damage it at least once (there's an indicator which players will get xp from a kill on the hp bar in devilutionx - the diamond-shaped icons that fill for players that hit the monster)

as for hitting multiple enemies, there was a bug in the original that didn't apply penalties to dmg/hit chance for that attack properly so you might see it hit less in devilutionx - maybe you simply don't have enough hit chance for it to hit?
Thank you very much, I will go to lower levels and check if I hit multiple enemies, I did not know about the damage/hit chance penalty when hitting multiple enemies.

Thanks. These changes are for a very old version and probably not easy to apply. Since the person didn't provide a download you would also have to apply the code change and do a build your self for it to take effect.

The good news is that in the latest version of DevilutionX you can already turn off friendly fire in the settings menu. Also you can put your gold in your storage at Gillians house and use it directly from shopping so that should hopefully make two of them unnecessary.
