Hi,

for weeks I've been looking now for the Grandfather unique sword in Diablo (GOG Version) Singleplayer and can't find it.
I've been running that librarian unique mob, legacy of blood quest, lazarus and his minions plus that dlvl16 unique mob.

I've checked Jarulfs guide but i'm not sure if i miss something.

Does anybody know if i should keep track of certain items before, take some with me in my inventory or something else to increase my chances of dropping a Grandfather sword? For example I have a royal circlet in my inventory which has the same qlvl (27) but i dont think it helps in any way.

Also what makes it much more complicated is that you cant take the short cuts to the higher dlvls as you could in multiplayer or in hellfire.

according to this website it'd take average of 56 dlvl 15 runs to get it
but take into account that's it's still rng and d1's rng is pretty crappy so could take a 500 runs to get it or something :D

Don't worry, it can take a really long time, but just keep on trying and one day it will drop.
Keeping Royal Circlet or any other item in your inventory or any similar hocuspocus does not have any effect, even if you tried that with multiple uniques of the same base item and qlvl (like Civerb's, Crackrust and Lightforge).
