My warrior finished the game on normal difficulty. I killed both Diablo and Na-Krull. I am level 27. I started Nightmare difficulty but I am getting no experience in the church. I tried Hell difficulty and I am getting plenty of experience now in the church.

Should I just skip Nightmare all together?

Yeah if you can handle hell well enough then go for it. Note that there is a bug in the game that means that high level monsters do not have any armor class (unoffiicila fixes exists)

You will get no experience if your level is at least 10 levels above the level of the monster. Nightmare gives monsters a +15 level boost over Normal. Hell gives them a +30 level boost over Normal.
