last time i got enemies that i normally encounter on level 4, on level 2. i encountered bonehead keenaxe which i could not defeat and as a result, i had to restart. the random map generator needs some work so that enemies from level 4 does not appear on level 2.
Lol :D
it is not funny, it is a very serious matter when a player can not proceed through the game on the first playthrough. not that i could that the first time i played it but, at least then i got to level 10 or something before the enemies became too tough. now the enemies became too tough on level 2. i also found no spell books on either of these past games(on level 1 or 2).
That is literally the point of it being "random" my dude.

The game is practically designed to be reset so you can refresh enemies or farm the area again. This is the most ridiculous complaint I have ever read.

This is a 20 year old game, the whole engine for the game is hardly going to be changed, or "fixed" as you put it, at this point is it.
This isn't a remaster, my dude. It's just a re-release with some bare-bones additions for greater support on Win 10.

The map generator was not and is not going to be changed.

Someone must of not played the original release. LOL indeed!
i played the original diablo but, i got spell books on the early levels there. i am not asking for a radical change of the engine, just a slight rebalance to return it to how it was. i did not play the updated version much, just the original version, the unpatched version.
Mate this is exactly the same version, nothing is changed here. This is original Diablo 1 experience.

Edit: The only thing the patch does is secure battle.net connectivity.

Welcome to Diablo 1.

Diablo 3's Darkenning of Tristram event doesn't drive home even a tiny bit that, you actually cannot beat this without exploits, in one sitting. Exploits such as the dupe glitch that still exists in all versions of the game, which is kinda funny to me.
it is obvious that some patch nerfed the drop rate on spell books on the early levels. the first time i played(back in 1997) i got book of town portal on level 2. here, i got it on level 3. i never even played the dungeon in tge patched version before i played the gog version. after patching i played multiplayer on battle.net only and only the last 4 floors. i never played single player in that version.

I know this post is old now so maybe you're not looking, but man, that's the nature of random. I've done playthroughs of this game where I got dope shit on the first couple floors, and playthroughs where I'm not finding much of anything.

Luckily, if you hate the world that generated, you can start a new game with your same character and it'll all be different. Maybe you'll get more lucky than before.
