Ignore the error message, as long as you configured everything correctly you should have full access to battle.net.

jack4800: I have access to chat and messaging, but I cannot create games. I have the latest version of windows 10 installed.
Access your router (like andreasaspenberg2 said) and configure the ports mentioned in this article: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/7842

If you've already done that, then configure your firewall for the same ports as well.
