Ok guys im looking into buying this classic gem. i own it on the disk still but sadly my disk drive dont run properly to download it.
So my question.
am i still able to mod the game files that you get from GOG. And for anyone who knows or has modded their diablo game file will Hellfire work with the Beelzebub mod for diablo. and if it does not work. is their a way to just install the regular diablo without the hellfire from GOG?

belzebub is a vanilla mod, it doesn't include hellfire content, gog version is nothing special, all you ever need for all the mods is the diabdat.mpq file which contains all the graphics and stuff

Unless you still have the older installer (before the newer one was released almost a year ago), it is no longer possible to install Diablo without Hellfire. However, playing the expansion is not mandatory, it is still possible to launch the game without it.
