Lvl 25 Sorcerer trying to beat Diablo but he uses the Inferno on me and I die in just two hits. He's running after me all the time I have no chance. I have level six flamewave but that doesn't help anything.

The Dark Lord does not possess Inferno. He does possess a variant of Apocalypse, which can target you any time he has line of sight, even if he is off screen. The Dark Lord is IRR for Magic/Fire/Lightning. Flame Wave's damage is likely too low for you to kill him with it. A high level Fireball works well. Please describe your character:

- How much mana do you have?
- Do you have Mana Shield up?
- What level is your Fireball?
- How many Full Mana Potions do you have, and can you afford to get more? I would want to have at least a full belt of FMPs, but more is almost always better. The game will end when you defeat The Dark Lord, so there is no value to hoarding resources for later.
- Are you facing The Dark Lord alone, or did you also wake his minions? Fighting him alone makes this much easier.

If possible, provide a screenshot of the automap, so we can see which variant of dungeon level 16 you received. Some are easier to handle than others.
Unlike most monsters he is also vulnerable to holy bolt. Firing them in his direction when he and his minions are off screen, is a good way to only wake him.

I did manage to beat him somehow. I don't remember how. What does IRR stand for?
