Hi, what's the easiest way to play online with a friend? My friend and I want to get the game tomorrow and play online together, but I don't want to spend a lot of time trying to forward ports or set up VPNs. From what I've read GameRanger seems like the easiest option, but will it work fine with the GOG version?

Using DevilutionX might also be helpful since only the host needs to setup port forwarding for TCP.

Hey,

One of our friends in the discord community wrote a nice guide on how to use gameranger. I have been struggling with port forwarding and network setup.. To run diablo and Gameranger is by far the easiest.
