Every once in a while I reinstall Diablo and continue where I left off. I have my old saves still after all these years. Is it possible to load up our old saves in both versions of the game GoG provides? I would love to load up my old saves in the new enhanced version and keep playing.

Saves from the latest official version should work.

Old saves work. I could import my "great old ones" without a hassle. Just keep in mind to copy them into the right folder. If you choose the "Diablo (classic)" version the saves have to be placed in the Diablo root directory. When you choose to play the version with high resolution support the savegames have to go into the "dx" subfolder.
