Hello, wondering if anyone has had Direct X issues with Windows 7 VMs and Virtual Box specifically, and has some answers? I can launch Diablo (Classic) in a Win 7 Virtual Box VM, but cannot run Diablo or Hellfire.

With this setup, I get the Direct Draw Error that it was unable to initialize my video card. The VM is set to 128 MB Video Memory, using the VBoxSVGA Graphics controller. I've tried making sure that the latest DirectX runtimes are on the VM, and that hasn't resolved the issue. I am thinking the problem is something with Virtualbox, or Virtualbox and my graphics card (NVIDIA 2080 ti), but I'm not what to try next to continue troubleshooting. If anyone has any suggestions, it's greatly appreciated!

Obviously it problem with your video configuration in VM. GOG launcher requires DirectX 9 and D3D 9 mid-end video specs.

Use devilutionX then you won't need a vm

or handle graphics on your VM properly xDD
