Does anyone have any experience getting Diablo + Hellfire to work on Crossover 19? I've tried installing it any number of ways, and nothing. I've followed Crossover's advice (creating a Windows 7 bottle, installing modern Direct X, then installing the program from the GOG file) and it doesn't seem to work. If I open Hellfire, I get a black screen after the opening movie. If I choose Diablo, I can get to the main menu, but it will crash as soon as I select a new game. (And the animations barely move.)

I've tried using a Windows XP bottle, as well, since Crossover defaults to that. Also tried using modern and pre-modern Direct X on it. Nothing seems to get it to work. Whenever I DO install the file, it seems to have errors as it's installing Direct X, but it still seems to finish up the installation process.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Use devilutionX instead, it's natively build for Mac. Hellfire is 81% done so will be out soon as well.

Where did you place the application, and where is your diabdat.mpq?
