I bought this to play on emulation on my M1 Max.
Tried this using Whisky.
After Installation i was able to load the intro in its original resolution = quite small picture.
After that game shuts down.

Anyone had more luck to run it?

You can use DevilutionX to run it. It's build for macOS x86_64 but works well on M1 (Apple has build in translation) so you won't need any emulator to run it:
