First is that they want more money and seek new crowds to offer their games to. They are a big company so one would expect their market scouts to find and observe places like gog. If those wishlist counters would get very high, I'm sure they'd get interested.
Second is a bit of my wishful thinking. I like to imagine game companies to have a 'heart' - in other words, filled with people who feel joy when the masses play and love their games. This can lead them to support even secondary groups which are smaller than their primary sales group.
Keep having faith in others. I'm kind of sad that I lost it and could never get it back. Most people will only disappoint you if you have any sort of expectation for them - same goes for business.
