So tonight I installed Median XL. It was my first time experiencing it, and it's a sort of total conversion mod for Diablo 2.
At first glance, it's overwhelming, because the skill trees are completely different and combat while the same, handles differently based on the half hour I spent with the paladin.
Very intriguing mod, this. I enjoyed it despite not wanting to relearn the game this evening, however I did notice when I uninstalled it, it had rolled back my D2 install from 1.14D to 1.13. A small gripe, but an inconvenience.
Anyone else with D2 and Median XL experience? I understand the quests are the same, but the overall game just feels so different. Curious if it's worth really digging into, or if it's similar enough to the base game that it doesn't make a huge difference.
