Good Afternoon..I recently download Diablo 1 and the Hellfire expansion ( which I've never played , only heard about ). My issue is with the Hellfire expansion there is no option for online? Is this because it was only made for offline gameplay? I was really planning on playing Diablo/Hellfire with online multiplayer.

Yes, but you can play it online if you use DevilutionX https://github.com/diasurgical/devilutionX/releases/latest
