No big features this time, just some bugfix (Both original bugs and some of our own)

To those that don't know DevilutionX - it is a port of Diablo and Hellfire that strives to make it simple to run the game while providing engine improvements, bugfixes, and some optional quality of life features (stash / monster health bars / highlighting items like in D2 etc.). Basically good old Diablo with less bugs and problems ;)

Highlights for the latest version: highlight and zoom can be set to on by default, better detection of multiplayer games, bugfixes, translations.

Just wondering if you know how to get it to allow all quests in one run. Or does this still not work for hellfire.

It looks like it should, i've tried both:
Randomize Quests=0
and
Randomize Quests=1

Both runs, I'd get either Leoric quest or the poisoned water, not both.

Shows up under settings in game as well, tried both. Guess it just doesn't work.

It works.

Use the settings menu instead of editing the ini, there is a description.

Maybe you didn't start a new game and just continued one where the quests had already been selected?
Hello Ander_Jenbo. Any chance for OG Xboc and Xbox 360 versions of DevilutionX?

1.5.0 adds OG Xbox support (test builds are available). Xbox 360 is a tad more tricky.

We also have PS2 support mostly done.
Oh sh*t sweet!! can't wait! thanks for the reply and sorry for late reply.
This engine port is damn awesome. It runs exactly like the original vanilla Diablo 1, but with proper widescreen, QoL features (including stash) and it even allows to play the Bard and Barbarian classes without having to switch to Hellfire.

Haven't noticed any bugs or out of place features, everything is very reasonable.
Really love what you did with this port.
i enjoyed the hell 2 and stuff for a long time, but i always coming back to playing the Vanilla Game cause in itself its well balanced and simply fun.

The Source port is exactly what i always wanted when im back in purist mode.
Love the quality of life changes, thats exactly how a remaster should be.

Thank you for your work !
This port is fantastic, finally all those QOL improvements without having to run ugly ugly Hellfire.

One question, though, I have noticed that when beating the game once and starting a new game, I can no longer access all four stages from the village. What are the requirements for that to work? Or was this feature completely removed from the game? I enoy being able to run Hell over and over without having to slug though the previous 12 levels...

That was only possible in Multiplayer and Hellfire (based on your hero level). So if you are playing Diablo Single Player that would be why :)
Ah, okay. That's a pity. But now I understand... wow, that actually makes a huge difference and drastically diminishes my enjoyment of this game for some reason.
You don't need to play with other people to have this feature. You just need to be in multiplayer mode, which disables the single-player-specific quests.
For 1.5.0 we are working on making all quests available for multiplayer so that might not be true for long :)

Anders you rock!
Hey Anders_Jenbo,

Dude, thanks for all the hard work put into the source port!

I was playing the GOG version, and I was finding the backend they used horrible, plus Diablo (Classic) didn't work for me; so I went looking for a solution and found your magnificent project!

In short, I uninstalled the GOG version, but before that, I grabbed the necessary files and played in the master, badass and power-loaded... DevilutionX, and everything worked like a charm.

This is the Diablo of my teenage memories, not this ugly, dirty and rotten version of the GOG backend. Something needs to be said, despite the bad experience with the GOG version, I thank the people of the site for bringing Diablo to the digital universe.

Ahh... I gave it a star on GitHub. If one day I can help financially... I won't think twice to help them.

Cheers and keep up the good work!
