Does this version have controller support as one of the tweaks/updates?
If not is there any plan to do so?

No controller support, and no plans to add it. This is simply a repackage of the original game using various utilities to make it run smoothly on modern Windows systems.

No, but it can play over the internet via UDP or TCP natively with encryption, so except for finding random strangers to play with I would say that it's better then battle.net. also for TCP only the host has to open there firewall.

The latest beta of DevilutionX now has game controller support.
