Hello,
can anybody confirm the caps listed by Bolty in his famous guide? (I cannot post links at the moment.) And also confirm that such values appliy for al classes both in GOG Diablo and Hellfire or DevilutionX?

In brief, for a lvl 50 character, Armor Cap at 285, 190 To hit, and 120 Dexterity for blocking.
I feel a little squishy with just 295 AC, but this could be just an impression.

That's correct for the most part.

It's all correct for all classes in Diablo except that all other classes than warrior need 20% more tohit in melee because they don't get a melee tohit bonus.
In Hellfire you need 5% additional tohit for all classes (195% warrior, 215% all other classes) because Reapers have a higher AC than Blood Knights.

In DevX it's a bit different.
Blocking: A warrior needs 30 Dex less for perfect block (90 Dex on clvl 50) because DevX fixed the bug that caused the blocking bonus not to be included after the first game. The other classes didn't change (120 Dex).
AC: I'm not sure if the tohit overflow bug is fixed in DevX, but if it is, you need 20 points more (=305).

Notice that AC and Tohit as they are displayed in the character panel in DevX are a bit misleading because they already include clvl and bonuses (unlike vanilla). The Tohit is clvl + bonus points higher and the AC is 2*clvl points higher.

295 AC is perfect but keep in mind that no matter how high your AC is, monsters still have a guaranteed tohit of at least 15% (even 30% on dlvl 16).
