Just wondering what the best class from the base game was for a controller player.

I didn't know the game had controller support. It's not mentioned on the store page. I think a good way to find the answer is to test the way targeting works for each class and their abilities.

DevilutionX adds gamepad support so maybe that is what he is using. Of cause the PS1 port also had it, and there is also a more vanilla mod available from when the controller code was first implemented (xinput only).
I would say the Rouge is the best class for playing with a controller, it's both what I have tested the most, but also my preferred class ... which might create a feedback.

Played multiple Times with a Rogue and Controller but also one Run with a Mage, works very fine imo.
