The first TWO of these I feel the most strongly about. Later on in the list is stuff that's not exactly control issues exactly.

* The Left/Right + Special attack should automatically face you in the direction you press. It is a little unpleasant to have to remember to wait a fraction of a second to turn around before going into your attack. The difference in possible gameplay would be very small, but the result would be a massive improvement in control.

* Manual gold pickup on the same button as your basic attack is really bad news. A separate button for pickup probably isn't the best fix, either... Does gold really need to be put on manual pickup? Health you could conceivably want to save for the last moment before you die or before it rots away, but gold? Ew, don't reward an awesome multikill with bags of gold that basically "mute" your basic attack command for a few seconds...

* Pressing the backward direction should at the very least "un-queue" your next basic attack in the combo. It might be a bit too forgiving to allow a true cancel for free, but if the attack hasn't actually started yet, I think a "whoops, let's not do that" should be allowed. At least I *think* that the control scheme stacks up combo attack commands in this way...

* The Dash button should do the minimum-length dash even if you press it while not pressing a direction. I keep expecting it to work this way, even though I understand that it is a sustainable run rather than a fixed dash.

* The Break-Out command should work even while not taking damage. Sometimes I want to use the invulnerability, but I trigger the non-invulnerable version because you can't use the Break-Out unless you're taking combo damage. It gets a little twitchy when the window is small to wait to take damage and *then* Break-Out. Using up a full bar for a quick burst of invincibility seems fair enough regardless of the situation.

* In the settings menu, a quick selection for "default control scheme A B C D for X type of controller" would be handy. Maybe they could also have a command on this menu that causes your computer to ask for you to press a button on your control device for that player, for example - presumably multiple X-Box controllers would be a good option for local multiplayer. Fast config would be nice. This might be a programming-intensive thing to set up, though, and realistically only costs the players a minute or five per player, depending on indecisiveness.

* Some skills, like the magic tech drain attack, have slightly unforgiving depth radius. Meh.

* I think this is a bug... When paying 6666 gold to enter the final boss fight, I didn't actually spend the money. I kept it, and then I'm awarded 6666 for beating the boss - presumably because I'm "getting my money back". I have no idea if this is a fluke, because it was my first time beating the game. (Either that, or the Contra code joke was legit and it can cause you to keep your money...) I think I would have lost the final boss fight if I hadn't had that money, so I guess I'm a cheater...
Overall, it was a nice fast game, but hard to recommend at full price. A decent pickup on sale. Enemy variety was adequate, or a little short. Some of the boss fights were given a good amount of flair, but overall it felt a little short.
