I previously played this game on MacOS and all my stats are on what's called the "GOG Galaxy" account (idk why they don't call it simply a GOG account). Now since I migrated to Linux I have a bit of a problem since the Linux build doesn't have an option to log-in using the "GOG Galaxy" account. GOG Galaxy client doesn't work on Linux (even through Wine/Lutris; it launches, but it isn't what I'd call usable), but perhaps there happens to be some workaround?
