I own both the deus ex games that came before HR, now i'm thinking about getting HR. but i don't know, it just doesn't seem that fun. so please, correct me if I'm wrong and sell me on this game if it's worth my time or not.
I can't say for the PC version since I've played this game for the console but if you love the original game in terms of conspiracy story line and the gameplay style, you will like this game a lot. I most certainly did and I'm planning my third playthrough of it soon :)
3 playthroughs, 122 hours played (plus 20 hours for two playthrougs of the missing link). It's that good. Not as good as the original of course, but close.
I never made it past Barrett (the first boss) because I had built my augmentations toward stealth and had no effective way to take him down. If I ever pick the game up again, I'll probably start over, and dedicate a couple Praxis points to getting the Typhoon early on.
well, i bought it today for the ps3. about to load it up and try it, i'll get on here again later and tell you guys if you were right about it. I Also got final fantasy 13 too, i'm exited about that one as well! can't wait!
I've only played the intro sequence, i havn't done the first mission after you get your implants, but so far so good! a great game!

for some reason, fps's simply don't do it for me anymore like they used too. bummer. i'll probably come around again sometime soon.

deus ex is holding up well though, despite.
I've noticed that how easy or hard the bosses are depends more on what weapons and equipment you brought to the fight, rather than your augs. Barrett for example, if you have grenades, concussion and frag especially, he's no problem. For one thing, his room is filled with barrels that have explosive and poison gas in them, so you can just throw those at him, and the fight will be over quick. Aside from that, most bosses can be disabled for several seconds with the P.E.P. or concussion grenades, so having them on hand is useful.

Anyway, The characters on the game are great, I learned that the hard way. If you find yourself not wanting to play anymore because you let someone die that you could have saved, then you know you are dealing with a great game. On top of that, the major players are fleshed out well enough that you can for the most part figure out their motivations behind what they are doing.
