Does the GOG release of Invisible War have native widescreen resolution support? A few months back I gave in to impatience and bought the Steam version as the odious DRM (irony abounds) made my old boxed version unplayable. Besides not having widescreen support, every time a load screen would come up (which is often, as we all know) the game would minimize itself to the desktop, displaying my widescreen desktop in its 4:3 resolution, and after a brief moment it would restore itself just in time for the end of the load screen. This was highly annoying.

Is this load screen issue still in the GOG version?
These where issues with the game engine its self and thus GOG could probably do nothing about it.
GOG can, when it wants to, fully cure the DRM cancer afflicting games and fix their issues with running on modern versions of Windows. Nothing is beyond them, certainly not some issues with a venerated engine like the Unreal one employed in DE:IW.

If GOG chose not to fix the issues, maybe its inclusion on GOG will inspire the modding community to further greatness. I can hope. The High Res texture pack was great (and something that Human Revolution desperately needs) but I wouldn't say no to more ;)

I'll rebuy the game, bringing me up to 3 copies, as it was fun enough and as an anime dub fan it was freaking hilarious, but I'll wait a bit if the issues in the Steam and boxed edition are still here. I don't think it'll be going anywhere, right?
