This utility can be used for both Deus Ex and Invisible War. It is especially useful for IW because doing it manually takes a lot of time.

For the original Deus Ex, how is this better than the options presented in Kentie's launcher?

This should be no better than the options in kentie's launcher for the original Deus Ex. Please note that these solutions don't fix things like sniper scope FOV angle, which is something you may or may not notice.
