temyankee: So, I installed the game fresh, then used GOG Galaxy to download the GMDX mod. Went to the folder and ran the install app. While it installs things, I get no shortcut labeled GMDX or anything similar. When I try to use the method mentioned above regarding altering the .info file, not only does it not work, when Galaxy restarts, ir no longer recognizes that the game is even installed. When I restored the original version of the .info, again, Galaxy did not show the game as installed. Anyavice on what I'm doing wrong? Should I, after re-instlling the game, launch the GMDX immediately upon installing the revision? Please help.
Remember that GOG's mods actually install a separate game with the mod configured, so you only need to install the mod. So, if you installed both the game and the mod you would have two separate games.
If you are still having trouble with the GMDX install, try the following and see if it works:
remove or delete the DeusEx.u file in ...\DeusEx\HDTP\System.
Copy and place everything from the ...\DeusEx\GMDXv9\System AND the \DeusEx\HDTP\System folders into ...\DeusEx\System.
Copy and place everything from the ...\DeusEx\GMDXv9\Maps folder into ...\DeusEx\Maps.
Copy and place everything from the DeusEx\GMDXv9\Textures AND DeusEx\HDTP\Textures folders into DeusEx\Textures.
Copy and place everything from the DeusEx\GMDXv9\Music folder into DeusEx\Music.
Launch the game using GMDX.exe in the DeusEx\System folder
(or Rename GMDX.exe to DeusEx.exe to make use of Kentie's Launcher
