I'm playing on windows 7 64bit, fairly new PC, quadcore, etc. When I get in the tutorial, stuff just randomly moves at hyperspeed, the dialogue gets cut out in the middle, and so on. It's basically unplayable. Supposedly there are mods that will fix this, but I can't figure out where the game is installed such that they will work - I put the recommended "kentie's mod" in C://programme file//gog.com// deus ex folder, but it just tells me engine.dll is missing, and I certainly have no idea where it is if it's not there. Can anyone help me out?

EDIT: Nevermind, it's in the "system" folder, duh. Let's see if that fixes it.

EDIT: Ok yeah it fixed it. Dumb thread. But while I'm here, GoG, I really love what you're doing with this service and I'm happy to pay for it when it goes well, but this is basic functionality that should be included with the game, not something users have to mod in, you sorting this stuff out is why we shop here :(

Just thought I'd give my thanks for pointing out "kentie's mod". I was beginning to get worried that I bought a useless game.
The hyperspeed problem is a result of Deus Ex not playing well with multi-processor setups, which is what multi-core processors amount to. Multi-core hadn't been invented in 1999, and multi-processor motherboards were incredibly uncommon. Plus, Kentie's launcher does have issues that would make it a bad idea to include with GOG's distribution.
