I usually have a rule about pre-ordering, but then again most games these days don't have demos.

I'd played the original back in the day, sequel didn't appeal to me, and I wasn't even aware of a 3rd one coming out until like a month ago.

Long story short I played the excellent demo and pre-ordered. Game plays exactly how a Desperados game should play in 2020, and with looks to match (though I might have to crank anti-aliasing up in the Nvidia Control Panel).
agree with that
I preordered Desperados 3 Digital Deluxe last week here at GOG and also played through the Demo lastnight with a somewhat different outlook than yours.

In the past I've played through Desperados : Wanted Dead or Alive, Desperados 2 : Cooper's Revenge and Helldorado numerous times. Of course the first being my favorite as well as the re-released version which came out last year.

Although the Demo was enjoyable, I found it to be mediocre at best. Maybe it was just my timing or some other factor but I found it lackluster. Yet I understand it was just a Demo. The graphics were fine and the gameplay felt exactly the same as Shadow Tactics : Blades of the Shogun, which is a great thing. But it felt somewhat dull and as if I was playing Shadow Tactics all over again with only changes being to the setting and the characters.

The biggest problem and possibly the only problem I had with the Demo was it just was too easy. I didn't feel any challenge at all, even on the highest difficulty. Believe me, I'm not bragging. I don't have the right to boast because I'm actually pretty horrible at this type of game and it takes longer for it to sink in to my tiny brain. Yet this didn't. It felt dumbed-down for some reason.

I'm still looking forward to the full game, but I came from it with a completely different "vibe" than you. Maybe I was over-hyping it in my head or something but we'll wait and see. I'm sure I'll love it.

Raise the render scale, for better graphical results.
What is the difference Demo 1.0_(38458) 1.0a_(38635) ?
