Can anyone verify this?

I recently installed desperados 2 using updated 2.0.0.7 version of setup under Linux wine, and just in case, I backed up the old directory. When I checked, I find the following files have different names (the newer one actually have wrong letters, at least not recognizable as any French words):

OLD/data/Models/Diverse/Indian_Objects: flèche.v3o
NEW/data/Models/Diverse/Indian_Objects: flčche.v3o

OLD/data/Models/Objects_inside: pèse_lettres.v3o
NEW/data/Models/Objects_inside: pčse_lettres.v3o

OLD/data/Models/Ustensils: porte_fût.v3o
NEW/data/Models/Ustensils: porte_fűt.v3o

OLD/data/Textures: Fenêtre02_SM.dds
NEW/data/Textures: Fenętre02_SM.dds

OLD/data/Textures: rivière_fond.dds
NEW/data/Textures: rivičre_fond.dds

OLD/data/Textures: rivière_fond_night.dds
NEW/data/Textures: rivičre_fond_night.dds

Do others who've installed the 2.0.0.7 setup have the same NEW filenames? I'm wondering if it has any effect with playing the game. The game seems to work perfectly, but I haven't gone past the first mission.

Should I copy back those files from the old directory?

I don't have a Linux rig at hand right now, but this looks like a wrong translation between an ANSI codepage and Unicode. I'd rename the new files according to the original filenames or use the backups if file size is identical.

And contact support to let them know there's something wrong with file naming, the installer and your specifications. (Maybe you're using a file system that supports no Unicode file names? Or the installer itself messes something up while creating the files)
