I am a bit puzzeled, as there exists a linux port of D3 - to be honest, its on my shelve. I just bought D3 on gog because it was so cheap it saves me time compared to taking it out of the box.... would it be possible to add the Linux port to gog?
Did you try this?

Most of these old Linux ports are from ther defunct Loki Ent. company, and are now lost to the legal limbo and the sands of time.

Thanks for your hint. I managed to pvercome the +6 error of the script, but it seems to miss some dependencies.

To run the script, at least one
export _POSIX2_VERSION=199209
prior running it is necessary.

I will try further, maybe I will solve the problem if I pack some of my old loki tools together...

-- edit --

its such a shame loki went down the drain, all my money didnt help them :(

As I discovered harshly if you have a good circles of friends and a nice work environment you might get a totally wrong feeling about the world, in truth Linux is used by virtually nobody.

Everyone uses Windows or Mac and they are adamant about their choices and they don't care to security, basic facts, or spend 1200$... Oh, well. There is people thinking the Earth is flat[1] so I guess this is not so bad in comparison.
