Greetings all,
My memory isn't what it once was, but I bought a Voodoo2 video card back around 1998 and I could swear it came with Descent 3: Sol Ascent. I didn't get very far into it so I don't remember much.
I've purchased and installed Descent 3 from GOG and this is what I see when I click New Game:
BlueDevil
Descent 3: Mercenary
Descent 3: Retribution
Kataclysmica1.2
Pilot Training
POE
Stone Cutter
Tri-Pod
Lastly, I have the Descent 3 strategy guide which doesn't explicitly call out whether it contains Mercenary, Sol Ascent, both or neither - it just has 15 missions and 2 "hidden" missions.
So my questions are these: Which is the "original" Descent 3? Does the GOG version of Descent 3 include the "original" Descent 3? If so, which of the above options is the "original" Descent 3?
And what is/was "Sol Ascent"? Is it in GOG? If so, where, and if not, any plans for GOG to get it?

The rest, excluding Pilot training, are all sample multiplayer levels that nobody plays.
Sol Ascent was a five level pack, containing the first 5 levels of the retail D3 campaign. It came bundled with a Voodoo card like you said (Voodoo 3 I think). Anyway, it's a null point seeing as how you have the actual game.
