I just rediscovered Descent (played the originals endlessly), and installed DXX-Rebirth. No problems with the install EXCEPT I guess I had checked the "German Briefings" option. Now, all the briefings are in German? Is there one file I need to delete, or is there some other way to restore the English Briefings?

Yes, if you go into your D1X-Rebirth (or D2X-Rebirth) install folder, there should be a d*x-briefing-ger.dxa file that you should delete.
