I get this error when I try to run any of the Descent games. OS is Windows 7 64 bit, which is supposed to be compatible.

Is it fresh download? The setup file changed at one point, so if you're running older version it may be not compatible.

Possibly. Will redownload and try again.1 and 2 work now, but when I run 3 the launcher locks up and won't accept any input.

Are you running this as an administrator? I would try enabling, either, your desktop icon or main executable file properties. If running as an admin. doesn't help try the compatability mode. Good luck.
