I was wondering if this is a decent game. Many reviewers say it's decent. It has a decent name and the screenshots look decent. Still wondering if its decent.

It's a 3DoF classic as is better than decent.

Which game(s) are you asking about? There are three Descent-branded games sold here: Descent 1, Descent 2, and Descent 3. Descent 1 is a good game. Descent 2 is a close sequel that improves on Descent 1. Descent 3 follows the general story, but is a different engine with notably different gameplay. 1 and 2 are all underground (though there are some underground areas that are quite large). 3 has some outdoor areas.

If you want a game that is narrative / story-driven, then no, this isn't a game for you.

If you want to explore mazes and shoot things like in Doom but in an added dimension, then this game is superb. If you like atmospheric games, this game is also excellent.
