I have wanted to try out D2X-XL since it has so many cool options and such but I cannot get it to work right. I followed the installation directions and moved everything to the right folders, but when I start the game most of the wall textures are missing and sometimes the sound crackles. I have no idea what I did wrong.

Also, how do I switch the HUD to the in-ship view? There seems to be no option for it in the configuration.

I think the best palce to get help for this is the D2XL forum on www.descentbb.net. As for the HUD, press F3 to cycle through it.
