I have a problem with downloading Descent 1 & 2. I recently purchased it and attempted to download the setup. However, when it is around %10 done, it fails and a message pops up saying the Descent Setup "could not be saved, because the source file could not be read." The same thing occured when i tried to download the HD wallpaper and the Descent 1 in-game soundtrack.

I believe I am within the system requirements (Windows XP Home Edition 2002). I am not at all proficient with the technical side of computing, so I am really not sure what to do.

Please help, I grew up with these awesome games and would love to play them again!

Are you using Firefox?

There has been some reported problems with certain versions of Firefox where it was preventing downloads from completing. I've never experienced this problem, but the easy way to confirm would be to try downloading the file with a different browser (Internet Explore, Google Chrome, Safari, ...)

I found some basic troubleshooting tips from here.

Also, if I can recommend, the GOG downloader seems to work very well for me.

Hey Desic, thanks for that. I tried it with Google Chrome and it worked perfectly.

Weird how that works with Firefox, because sometimes things download fine, other times they don't. Oh well.

Thanks again, now I've got to get to work, plenty of gaming to do!
