Hi all, I'm new to this forums, just bought Descent 3 and found out how to enable full DS3D with EAX support. Alchemy does not have this game in its compatibility list, but you can enable it manually: just copy DSOUND.DLL from Program FilesCreativeAlchemy to Descent 3 game folder and create a file called DSOUND.INI in that same folder. Put this into that file:
Buffers=4
Duration=25
MaxVoiceCount=128
DisableDirectMusic=0
That's all, it works, tested under Vista x64 SP1 with a X-Fi Fatal1ty. Enjoy!!!
